Making Better Of The Worst

At first glance someone untrained in the ornithological sciences might consider this tree as virus-ridden, which it was - by woodpeckers!
The Kansas City Chiefs Tried...

My NFL team - The Kansas City Chiefs - tried their best this past weekend but this season only reassured their fans of yet another disappointment, though it was a FUN ride! The game was a close one taking a few minutes of overtime, yet it wasn't QUITE what any of us wanted! The same can be said for some photos. While you can't correct a fuzzy image or completely remove a thumb from a print of Grandma Gloria, there ARE always options!

We TRY to make sure that all is perfect before we snap the shutter but often that special moment allows very little time to prepare and we come out with results that don't QUITE meet our expectations. Most of us are familiar with cropping and simple exposure adjustments, but living in the 'digital age' we're more privy to an endless availability of software that can touch up portraits, remove objects from a photo, improve the outcome of the image versus the conditions in which it was taken and sometimes even combine two or more photos into one for a unique outcome as I've done below.

It takes creativity and a positive attitude to overcome what we believe to be disappointments in our lives. It all comes down to making the best out of what you're given. As comedian Ron White said "I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party!"
